'Realising potential through collaboration and partnership'

ECF Introduction

The Early Career Framework Reform creates a step change in support for Early Career Teachers, providing a funded entitlement to a structured 2-year package of high-quality professional development.

The reforms are part of the government’s teacher recruitment and retention strategy, which aims to improve the training and development opportunities available to teachers.

The Full Induction Programme

Potentia are delighted to announce that we are partnering with Education Development Trust to deliver the Early Career Professional Development Programme as part of the national roll-out of the Early Career Framework.

This two-year programme provides teachers with the essential specialist support they need to improve their practice and build confidence following their Initial Teacher Training. It will arm early career teachers with skills they can use in the classroom straight away and offer the structured support needed to help them be the best teachers they can be.

The Early Career Professional Development Programme is a funded provider-led programme, offering new teachers dedicated time to focus on their development at a really important time in their careers, building on their ITT.

Testimonials

I thought the organisation of the day was very useful, it was easier when the main group split into different areas for specific areas. 'Special' had their own focus which I found really helpful. It gave me an opportunity to work with other ECT's who work in similar settings to mine and gave the opportunity for open and honest discussions around difficulties that we might face in doing this.

SEND Early Career Teacher

The discussions with other professionals and the strategies other teachers use were helpful as this gave me ideas to employ within my own practice.

Primary School Early Career Teacher

Learning the difference between mentoring, coaching and instructional coaching and how these approaches can support and guide an ECT to reflect and grow as a teaching professional.
